In this work is developed the study of dynamic and steady-state behavior of variable-speed wind turbines that uses permanent magnet synchronous machine. The component modeling of wind energy conversion system, at ATPDraw program that is used by electric power industry, aims to contribute for studies of wind power integration at the electric grid. The work presents significant contributions to the state of art on different aspects of the subject such as, control system, protection systems, power quality and technologies of wind power generation
